TripleTalk Terms of Service

Effective from October 1, 2026.

01Who provides the service

  1. The TripleTalk mobile application (the "App") is provided by craftApp (the "Operator", "we").
  2. Contact: support@tripletalk.app. This address is also our single point of contact for users and authorities under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). We answer in Polish and English.
  3. These Terms govern services provided electronically. Together with the Privacy Policy they form the agreement between you and the Operator.
  4. The agreement is concluded when you create an account and accept these Terms. It is concluded for an indefinite period and you may terminate it at any time by deleting your account (section 13).

02Who may use the App

  1. You may create an account on your own if you are at least 16 years old.
  2. A person under 16 may use the App only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The guardian accepts these Terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for how the account is used.
  3. Purchases (Premium, AI packs) by a minor require a guardian's consent. Purchases are made through the Apple or Google store and are subject to the parental controls of those stores.
  4. If we learn that an account was created in breach of these rules, we may suspend or delete it.

03Technical requirements

  1. To use the App you need: a device running iOS or Android in the version stated in the store, internet access, and an email address, Google account or Apple ID.
  2. Camera, photo library and notification features require the corresponding system permissions. If you do not grant them, those features will not work.
  3. The App does not require any additional software. You can reduce typical internet risks (e.g. malware on your device, stolen passwords) by keeping your system up to date and protecting your login details.

04Account

  1. You create an account with an email address and password, Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. An account is required to use the App.
  2. One account is for one person. Do not share it and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  3. You can change your email address and reset your password in the App.
  4. Device limit, you can be signed in to one account on two devices at the same time, whatever the sign-in method (email, Google, Apple). Signing in on another device automatically signs out the device that has gone unused the longest.

05What the App does

  1. TripleTalk helps you learn foreign-language words and phrases with flashcards. In particular it lets you:

    • create your own lessons and flashcards, manually or from a photo of text,
    • have flashcards completed automatically by TripleTalk AI (translation, example sentence, grammar information, pronunciation audio),
    • study with spaced repetition and in an audio mode that plays whole lessons,
    • track progress and sync data across devices,
    • use ready-made flashcard collections (Premium),
    • use School mode, where a teacher shares lessons with their students (section 9).
  2. The App is a learning aid. It is not a language course, does not grade learners and does not issue certificates. We do not guarantee any particular level of language proficiency.

  3. We continuously develop the App. We may add, change or withdraw features where justified by technical, legal or security reasons or by product development. A change may not deprive you, without appropriate compensation, of features you paid for and whose paid period is still running. We announce material changes in the App.

  4. Limits in force on the date this version of the Terms was issued:

What it covers Free account Premium
Learning languages studied at the same time 1 2
Your own lessons up to 10 up to 50
Flashcards per lesson up to 400 up to 400
TripleTalk AI photo analyses up to 10 per day up to 30 per day
Words picked by AI from one photo up to 50 up to 100
Devices signed in to one account at the same time up to 2 up to 2

School limits (teacher role, requires Premium):

    What it covers Limit
Classes per teacher up to 20
Students per class (invited and accepted) up to 40
Invitations sent by a teacher up to 100 per day
Resending an invitation to the same student after 24 hours
Validity of an invitation that is not accepted 14 days
Teacher's lessons (excluding the archive) up to 50
Lessons in a teacher's archive up to 50
Flashcards per lesson up to 200
Lessons shared with one class up to 100

Limits may change. Current values are shown in the App. Lowering a limit does not delete content you have already created.

  5. We also apply technical limits that protect against abuse, e.g. a maximum length of text sent to AI, a daily number of characters turned into pronunciation audio and a daily number of failed flashcard attempts. Users do not notice them in normal use of the app. When a limit is reached, the feature may be unavailable until the next day. No TripleTalk AI flashcard is taken from your balance for a flashcard that was not created because of a limit.

06TripleTalk AI

  1. AI features recognize text in photos and generate translations, examples, language information and pronunciation audio, using models from third-party providers (listed in the Privacy Policy).
  2. AI-generated content is an aid only. It may contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions. Check it before you study it. Teachers should check it before sharing a lesson with students.
  3. AI content is not linguistic, legal or any other professional advice.
  4. We are not responsible for the consequences of using AI content without verifying it, subject to section 14.

07Payments: Premium, AI packs, welcome bonus

  1. Sold through app stores. Purchases are made through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). Payment, invoices or receipts, renewals, subscription cancellation and refunds are handled by the store under its own rules. Prices are shown in the store before purchase and include taxes.
  2. Premium subscription renews automatically (monthly, quarterly or yearly, depending on your choice). You can cancel it at any time in your Apple account (Apple ID) or Google account settings, depending on where you bought it. A shortcut to those settings is on the Premium screen in the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Deleting the App or your TripleTalk account does not cancel the subscription. The subscription is billed by Apple or Google and is tied to your store account, not to your TripleTalk account. We have no access to your store account, so we cannot cancel the subscription or refund it on your behalf.
  3. Premium includes the features described on the purchase screen in the App, including the teacher role in School.
  4. TripleTalk AI packs are one-off purchases of TripleTalk AI flashcards. One TripleTalk AI flashcard lets you create or complete one flashcard with AI, in your own lessons and in School alike. Available packs: S (100 flashcards), L (500 flashcards) and XL (1000 flashcards). If generating a flashcard fails, the TripleTalk AI flashcard is returned to your balance. TripleTalk AI flashcards do not expire over time. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another account, and are forfeited when the account is deleted.
  5. Welcome bonus. A new, verified account may receive, once, a 3-day Premium trial and 100 free TripleTalk AI flashcards. The trial from the bonus is not a store subscription, does not renew automatically and does not turn into a paid subscription. The bonus is available once per person and once per device. To prevent abuse we use the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy. We may refuse or withdraw the bonus if it was obtained by circumventing these rules. If you believe it was refused wrongly, contact us.
  6. Right of withdrawal. As a consumer you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content and services supplied immediately after purchase (subscription active at once, TripleTalk AI flashcards added at once) you lose this right if, before purchase, you consented to immediate supply and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal. Refund requests are submitted to the store where you bought. This does not limit your rights if the service does not conform to the contract (section 12).
  7. One subscription, one account. A Premium subscription gives Premium to one TripleTalk account at a time: the one it was bought on, or the one purchases were last restored on. If you sign in to another TripleTalk account with the same store account and restore purchases, the subscription moves to that account and the previous one loses Premium. The previous account is notified. TripleTalk AI flashcards stay on the account they were bought on (point 4). The store does not let you buy the same subscription a second time with the same store account.

08Your content

  1. Content you create (lessons, flashcards, photos, class names, feedback) remains yours. You are responsible for it.
  2. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, reproduce, process with AI, generate audio from and display your content to the extent needed to operate the App. In School the licence also covers making lessons available to students of the classes you assigned them to. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except as stated in section 13(4) (archive of anonymised content) and for backups deleted in the normal cycle.
  3. You must not add content that:
    • breaks the law or infringes copyright or other third-party rights,
    • is offensive, vulgar, discriminatory, incites violence or is unsuitable for children (especially in School lessons),
    • contains other people's personal data without a legal basis,
    • contains malicious code or is used for spam, advertising or circumventing limits.
  4. Photos of textbooks and other materials. Photograph only materials you have rights to or may use under statutory exceptions (e.g. private use or, when teaching, the educational exception). The AI extracts individual words and phrases for flashcards. Do not use the App to copy entire works.
  5. We do not review content manually before it is added and are not obliged to. We act on notices (section 11).
  6. Automated moderation in School. Class names, lesson titles and flashcard words and examples in School are checked automatically for vulgar, offensive or sexual content before they are saved. Content identified as such is rejected and the App shows a message. Automated checks can be wrong either way and do not replace the teacher's responsibility for lesson content. If you believe content was rejected wrongly, contact us (section 11).

09School

9.1. How it works

  • School is a mode in which a teacher creates classes, invites students and shares lessons with them for self-study.
  • One account can have only one role: student or teacher. You can change the role only by resetting your School settings. A reset permanently deletes the School data for that role (details in 9.4).
  • The student role is free. The teacher role requires active Premium. Adding flashcards to School lessons uses TripleTalk AI flashcards.
  • School has no chat, comments or free text from students. Students cannot see each other.

9.2. Student

  • A student provides only a first name (or nickname). Do not enter a surname or other data. By choosing the student role you confirm that you are at least 16 or have a parent's or guardian's consent (section 2).
  • A student receives a permanent student code (format XXXX-XXXX) and decides who to give it to. The code lets a teacher send an invitation. It does not change on a role reset and is deleted with the account.
  • You can accept an invitation, decline it, or decline and block the teacher. A blocked teacher cannot invite you again. You can unblock in School settings. An invitation that is not accepted expires after the period set out in section 5(4).
  • After joining a class you see the lessons shared by the teacher during their availability period. You study in "I know / I don't know" mode and can listen to audio. Progress is only your self-assessment and you can reset it.
  • You can leave a class at any time. Your progress in that class's lessons is then deleted.

9.3. Teacher

  • A teacher provides a display name that invited students will see. The teacher creates classes, invites students by their code, creates lessons and shares them with classes for a chosen period.
  • About a student, the teacher sees only: first name, code, invitation or membership status, and the total number of students who have started a given lesson. The teacher does not see which flashcards a particular student knows. School is not a grading tool.
  • Sharing locks a lesson. Once a lesson is shared with any class, its name can no longer be changed and flashcards can no longer be added, edited or deleted. The lock stays even after all shares are deleted and is lifted only when the lesson goes through the archive (see "Deletion" below). A locked lesson can still be shared with other classes and its availability period can be changed. The App warns before the first share.
  • A lesson can be shared with a given class only once. To set a new date, change the availability period of the existing share.
  • Deletion:
    • deleting a share in a class removes the lesson from that class only (with students' progress in that lesson),
    • moving a lesson to the archive removes it from all classes, with students' progress. The lesson itself, with its flashcards and audio, stays in the teacher's archive, visible only to the teacher. From the archive it can be restored (it comes back unshared and editable again) or deleted for good. The archive has its own limit, shown in the App,
    • deleting a class removes the class, memberships, shares and students' progress in that class,
    • deletions, including deleting a lesson from the archive for good, are permanent. Shares and students' progress removed when a lesson is moved to the archive cannot be brought back, even if the lesson is restored. Before archiving or deleting a lesson or class that students are using, let them know.
  • When Premium ends. After Premium expires the teacher cannot create classes or lessons, invite students, share lessons or change availability periods. Lessons already shared remain available to students until the end of the set period. The teacher can still clean up (delete classes, students and shares, move lessons to the archive and delete them from it, or reset). Restoring a lesson from the archive requires active Premium.
  • Teacher's obligations. The teacher:
    • invites only people they teach or offer lessons to, and who gave them their code,
    • makes sure lessons are suitable for the students' age, contain no personal data of students or others and do not infringe copyright,
    • checks AI-generated content before sharing,
    • if using School as part of work at a school or other institution, determines whether this requires the consent of the institution or parents and whether the institution needs a separate agreement with us (e.g. a data processing agreement). Contact us if the institution needs one.
  • Our role. We provide a tool. We are not a party to the relationship between teacher, student, parent and school, do not supervise teaching and do not verify teachers' identity or qualifications. The teacher is responsible for lesson content and how classes are run.

9.4. Reset and availability of School

  • A student reset deletes their first name, class memberships and progress. The student code and the student's blocks remain.
  • A teacher reset deletes their classes, lessons, flashcards, audio and shares. Students lose access to those lessons. Daily invitation counters remain, so a reset cannot be used to bypass limits.
  • We may temporarily disable School (e.g. for technical or security reasons).

10Rules of use

In particular, you must not:

  1. circumvent limits, safeguards or verification (including creating multiple accounts to obtain the welcome bonus),
  2. interfere with the App or servers, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law permits, or scrape data automatically,
  3. send mass or unwanted invitations to students, or impersonate other people or institutions,
  4. use the App contrary to law, these Terms or generally accepted standards of conduct.

11Reporting illegal content and our decisions

  1. Report content you consider illegal or contrary to these Terms (e.g. a lesson shared in a class) to support@tripletalk.app. Include: where the content is (class and lesson name), why you consider it illegal, your name and email (unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material) and a statement that the report is accurate to the best of your knowledge. A student can also leave a class or block a teacher at any time.
  2. We handle reports without undue delay. We may remove content, restrict access to it, suspend features or block an account. Content involving a threat to life or safety is passed to the competent authorities.
  3. We inform the reporter and the author of our decision with reasons (unless the law prohibits it). You may appeal within 6 months by writing to support@tripletalk.app. Appeals are reviewed by a person, not an automated system.
  4. We may suspend or delete an account for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms. Except in urgent cases (security, illegal content, abuse) we first ask you to stop the breach. Suspension does not deprive you of any statutory right to a refund for an unused paid period.

12Complaints

  1. Send complaints about the App to support@tripletalk.app. Describe the problem, give your account email and, if possible, the date and a screenshot. You may also use the "Send feedback" feature.
  2. We reply by email within 14 days of receiving the complaint.
  3. As a consumer you have statutory rights if digital content or a digital service does not conform to the contract (bringing it into conformity, price reduction, termination). Refunds for purchases are issued by Apple or Google.
  4. You may use out-of-court dispute resolution, e.g. consumer ombudsmen or consumer protection bodies in your country.

13Deleting data and your account

  1. You can delete flashcards, lessons, classes and your account at any time in the App.
  2. Account deletion is irreversible. It deletes account data, lessons, flashcards, progress, your TripleTalk AI flashcard balance and all School data (including the student code, a teacher's classes and shared lessons). Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Apple or Google will keep charging you until you cancel the subscription in your store account settings (section 7(2)). It is best to do this before deleting your TripleTalk account. Refunds for the subscription are handled by the store under its own rules (section 7(1)).
  3. After account deletion we keep only the data described in the Privacy Policy (e.g. anonymised content, shared pronunciation audio, pseudonymous welcome bonus safeguards, data required by law).
  4. Your own deleted flashcards and lessons (not School lessons) may be moved to an internal archive without data identifying your account. We may use them to improve the App, learning materials and AI features and to create public collections, including in modified or combined form, in a way that does not identify the author. Do not put personal data in flashcards. If you did, contact us and we will remove such content from the archive.
  5. Identical pronunciation recordings may be shared between users without being linked to their identity and remain in the audio library after account deletion.

14Liability

  1. We do our best to keep the App working correctly and without interruption, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may result from maintenance, failures or third-party providers (e.g. Google, Apple). We try to announce longer planned interruptions.
  2. We recommend keeping content important to you outside the App as well.
  3. We are not responsible for: content added by users (including teachers' lessons), consequences of using AI content without verifying it, damage resulting from sharing your login details with others, or the operation of app stores and third-party services.
  4. Towards users who are not consumers (e.g. teachers or institutions acting in the course of business, where the law does not give them consumer rights) our liability is limited to the amount paid for the App in the 12 months before the event and excludes lost profits.
  5. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, in particular liability towards consumers and for intentional damage. A sole trader for whom the agreement is not of a professional nature enjoys consumer protection to the extent provided by law.

15iOS App

If you download the App from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. The agreement is between you and the Operator, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App, its maintenance, support or any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

16Changes to these Terms

  1. We may change these Terms for important reasons: changes in law, changes to features or payment rules, security reasons or decisions of authorities.
  2. We announce changes in the App at least 14 days before they take effect (unless a change results from law or an authority's decision and must take effect sooner).
  3. If you do not accept the changes, you can delete your account before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after that date means you accept the changes.

17Final provisions

  1. The agreement is governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country.
  2. Disputes are resolved by the court competent under general rules. Disputes with users who are not consumers are resolved by the court competent for the Operator's registered office.
  3. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
  4. These Terms are available in the App and at tripletalk.app. You can save or print them. In case of discrepancies between language versions, the Polish version prevails, unless this would breach mandatory consumer protection law.
